Jacqueline is in the spotlight today!
This 17 year old Senior is shooting for the stars.
Jacqueline Liu has a talent for just about everything. Her grades and SAT’s are undoubtedly some of the highest Elite Prep has ever seen.
Her dream is to become a surgeon, just as her grandfather was.
She is applying to most top colleges including Rice, UW, Emory. Case Western and others.
Her major is biochemistry/molecular biology.
She recently returned from the International Genetically Engineered Machine Competition (iGEM) at MIT where her presentation on Engineered Synthetic Riboswitch detection of Polychlorinated Biphenyls can be seen below.
Additionally she attended the National Student Leadership Conference last year and made plenty of new friends with others who are similarly destined for greatness.
She is the only student in school who attended the Johns Hopkins University pre-college summer program, earning her a plethora of lab experience.
When she isn’t in the classroom, she’s out playing table tennis, saving lives with the cotton candy charity club or writing music.
She also was a volunteer with China Organ Donation Administrative Center and is an active organ donor herself – something her peers are very much aware of as she has pushed for many of them to join her.
Congratulation Jacqueline, you’re in the spotlight today!
