Elite Prep’s Youngest Star Shines Bright on Stage at The Nutcracker

Students, children, parents and members of the community alike were stunned on Saturday December 7th by The Dance Connection’s performance of The Nutcracker at the Bound Brook Theater.

Their first performance of the delightful play about a little girl with a big dream that comes to life after a Christmas party featured brilliant practical effects including a cannon shot and a dizzying snow storm that engulfed the stage.

One stage, a cast of young performers ranging from 4 years old to 17 engaged in tricky but wonderfully executed choreography to classical music which has made this ballet a favorite of every Christmas.

However all eyes were on Freshman Katharina Wang who’s role as the Maid and Spanish Chocolate stole the show. All her friends from Elite Prep’s Dance Club were there in the audience cheering her along.

In all, a success to be sure and a triumph of youthful exuberance and blooming talent.

The Dance Connection has 5 more showings for The Nutcracker left this week, please see the link at the bottom of the article for ticketing.
