Room and Board

Our hosting families are all brand new, upscale single family construction completed with living room, family room, dining room, eat-in kitchen nestled in a quite, wooded, convenient and safe suburban residential area. School buses shuttle the students between the hosting families and the classrooms. In this way, students are not left without direction and their lifestyle can be structured appropriately. Internet is available during specified time slots and is monitored to ensure that it is used properly and not abused. Elite Preparatory Academy understands that the internet can be a valuable tool for education and for communication with family and friends who are overseas. However, we also understand that internet can be overused which can negatively impact a student’s learning. Therefore, internet is expected to be used in a responsible and educationally friendly manner. The school owns all these houses, but provides them free of charge to responsible American families who are capable of taking care of the students as their own children.

Additionally, students are expected to learn real life adult responsibilities while living in the hosting families. Students are expected to keep the house in a good maintained fashion as they would keep their own residences back at home. Therefore, students are assigned specific house duties in the effort to develop proper living habits and structure. By developing a sense of responsibility students are taught the ideals of being a good samaritan within American society. A curfew is also in place to ensure that students maintain proper sleeping habits so that their educational focus will not falter.
